This position is responsible for organizing and administering all phases of a successful NCAA Division II women’s basketball program in the competitive California Collegiate Athletic Association. Responsibilities include planning and conducting daily practice; preparation for competition; preparation and implementation of strength and conditioning program; oversight of all aspects of recruiting, including prospect evaluation, database management, and correspondence; scheduling of competition for championship and non-championship segment; providing academic support for current student-athletes; compliance with NCAA, CCAA, and University rules and regulations, including completion of required Compliance documentation and timely reporting of all known violations to the Director of Athletics or Director of Compliance; fundraising for program and for department; purchasing and budget management; instruction of an intercollegiate athletic class; and other duties as assigned by the director of athletics.
A bachelor’s degree is required. Preference will be given to candidates with previous coaching experience at a collegiate institution. A working knowledge of NCAA rules is required.
