EQUIPMENT SERVICES INTERN / ATHLETICS Lafayette College Easton, PA
DESCRIPTION: Lafayette College is accepting applications for the position of Equipment Services Intern. This position will assist with all operations of the Equipment Department including, but not limited to, the completion of daily laundry, field set-up/breakdown for practices and games, maintaining a proper inventory of athletic equipment, learning how to properly fit athletic equipment, daily maintenance and sanitation of protective equipment, submitting orders for athletic apparel and equipment, hosting visiting teams as needed, assisting with team travel arrangements as needed, facilitating the use of Headset communication systems for home and away contests, creation of maintenance plans for capital products and equipment, and meeting with vendors to discuss new products/maintenance. This position will require working full-days, evenings, nights, weekends, and possible holidays.
QUALIFICATIONS: •Bachelor’s degree required. Knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations. •Preferred experience as a Student Equipment Manager or Equipment Manager with Football. •Working toward AEMA Certification by the end of 10 month appointment. •Ability to lift 50 lbs. •Efficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, Publisher, and PowerPoint. •Must be a responsible and dependable individual with strong communication skills, writing skills, and attention to detail. •Demonstrates a passion for the profession of Athletic Equipment Management.
SALARY: The position is part-time.
