The University of Wyoming is conducting a search for a Director of Event Management and Game Operations who is willing to work in a high paced and rewarding environment of intercollegiate athletics. Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
•Direct oversight of select UW game and event operations (including coordinating security/event staffing, developing game day operations manuals for each sport, communicating and working with facility staff to ensure proper set-up per NCAA standards, working with coaching staff, communicating with officials and visiting teams).
•Assisting with game day operations for UW Football, Men’s & Women’s Basketball, and Wrestling.
•Managing the payment process for officials and working with the Mountain West Conference office.
•Scheduling Athletic Department Facilities, including setting up Facility Use Agreements for outside rentals.
•Other duties as assigned by the Associate Athletic Director for Facilities Operations and Game Management.
This is a benefited full-time 12 month position.

•2 years’ experience in collegiate event or game management (more experience preferred)

•Ability to work nights, weekends, and some holidays.
•Demonstrated knowledge or ability to learn Mountain West and NCAA rules and regulations.
•Event planning experience.
•Demonstrated ability to make independent, sound decisions.
•Strong organizational, interpersonal, and computer skills.
•Demonstrated communication skills.
•Demonstrated ability to effectively interact with a variety of diverse individuals, groups and organizations.
•Experience with facility scheduling.
