The Department of Intercollegiate Athletics at Pittsburg State University is accepting applications for the position of Director of Ticket Operations.
Position Duties and Responsibilities: Director of Ticket Operations is responsible for the daily financial and operational management of the University Ticket Office. Planning, organizing, supervising and evaluating the delivery of ticket sales and services to the university community and general public include: Athletic, and other University and area entertainment attractions.
Develop and interpret university policies for students, faculty, staff and the general public. Supervise student staff working in service area to include recruitment, hiring, scheduling, training, evaluation and termination under the direction of the Director of Athletics. Coordinate, evaluate and administer ticket sales in cooperation with the university departments and regional entertainment organizations. Meet with departments and contracted ticket agencies to ensure compliance and effectiveness of services.
Develop and maintain procedures for the Ticket Office and implement strategies that reflect the most efficient ways of providing ticketing services to the campus community. Supervise and coordinate on-site box offices for all home football games and other major events that require ticketing services, e.g., basketball games, University sponsored plays, etc.
Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree and one to two years of fulltime work experience in a customer service oriented field.
Preferred Qualifications: Master’s Degree in Student Personnel or related field and experience with automated ticket system management.
