The University of Nebraska Lincoln and Husker Athletics seek a dynamic team member and leader to serve as the Senior Director of Athletic Hospitality and Events. The Senior Director will be responsible for the game day hospitality and experience of over 100 football suites, 4 separate football club spaces with nearly 5,800 seats, courtside clubs for volleyball, men’s basketball and women’s basketball serving over 200 courtside and VIP premium seats. Direct the overall strategy and plan for the Nebraska Athletic Fund regarding hospitality, stewardship and special events for donors, season ticket holders, student-athletes and the N Club Letterwinners organization. Serve as the primary liaison to the University of Nebraska Foundation and Alumni Association regarding special events and opportunities to engage donors and alumni. Able to work nights, weekends and holidays when needed and attend athletic department sporting and special events.
Minimum requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, Sports Administration, Hospitality Management or related field plus three (3) years’ Fundraising, event coordination and/or marketing experience. Working knowledge of basic office software including spreadsheets and word documents. Excellent written and verbal communications skills. Preferred: Ideal candidate will have one 1 experience year managing premium seating with a Division I Athletic Department or professional sports team. Experience utilizing ticketing software such as Paciolan and design software such as InDesign. Criminal history background check will be conducted.
