The Head Acrobatics and Tumbling (A&T) Coach is a full time 12 month position responsible for the administration of all phases of the A&T team. This includes but is not limited to adhering to all Glenville State College (GSC), National Collegiate Acrobatics & Tumbling Association (NCATA), National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) and USA Gymnastics rules and regulations, all aspect of coaching, recruiting, scheduling, promotion, budget administration, assisting in the future development of A&T alumni and community relations. The Head A&T Coach will report directly to the Athletic Director. Examples of Duties The Head Coach will attend and participate in required department meetings, and other duties as assigned. This position involves frequent verbal, written, and email correspondence with students, parents, community, faculty, and staff.
1.Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year collegiate institution or equivalent 2.Two years' experience in coaching acrobatics and tumbling at an intercollegiate level or participating in. 3.Efficiency in Microsoft Office Suite programs 4.Required to work atypical hours, including nights, weekends and holidays as needed
1.Knowledge of NCATA, USA Gymnastics and NCAA rules and regulations 2.Experience in recruiting quality student athletes 3.Routine/choreography experience with collegiate team 4.Strong communication, organizational and leadership skills 5.Work effectively with faculty, staff, students and administration 6.CPR/First aid /AED training 7.Teaches and spots advanced level tumbling with proper technique.Teaches and spots advanced level stunting, baskets, and pyramids with proper technique. 8.Experience with camps and clinics
