The United States Naval Academy, a NCAA Division I school, seeks a full-time Assistant Indoor/Outdoor Track and Field Coach for the Navy Track and Field team. Responsibilities will include coaching the sprints, jumps, hurdles, and multi-events. A specific focus will be on organizing practice routines and training athletes to perform at their highest level. A great deal of time and effort will be spent on the identification and recruitment of qualified NCAA Division 1 level student-athletes. Other responsibilities include meet preparation and management, equipment upkeep, assisting in the track and field summer camp program, alumni relations, assisting in the budget process and other duties as assigned.
Applicants must have a Bachelors’ degree; work experience coaching track and field preferably at the collegiate level; ability to recruit academically and athletically qualified students for the Naval Academy; have knowledge of NCAA rules; applicant should also possess an exceptional knowledge of all track and field events and how each relates to winning as a team.
