Golden West College, a CCCAA institution and member of the Orange Empire Conference is seeking an individual to serve as the Assistant Women’s softball coach. The assignment will begin immediately upon hiring.
The ideal candidate for the position embraces the overall mission of Golden West College and the Coast Community College District, with a clear, focused commitment to supporting the head coach in all phases of the softball program within college, conference and CCCAA rules and regulations; includes organizing and implementing outfield workouts; executing offensive strategies related to slapping techniques; and evaluating, identifying, and recruiting prospective student-athletes.
Coaching experience preferred
Collegiate softball experience preferred
Knowledge of CCCAA rules and regulations
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Must be a confident public speaker, and communicate well with athletes, parents and coaches
Must maintain a valid California driver's license
Possess physical stamina to coach and demonstrate the sport and perform the duties outlined above
Ability to work long hours, on the field, recruiting, and in the office
Ability to do any physical work assigned
