The University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) is accepting applications for the position of Operations Assistant. This is a contract, full-time position with a targeted salary of $32,259.60/year with full health benefits and membership in the UC Retirement Plan. Under the direct supervision of the Director, Athletic Operations, in a learning capacity, provide administrative services for the Department of Intercollegiate Athletics. Involved primarily with management of game day/event operations, individual team travel, team travel, departmental booster travel program and customer services. Major functions include marketing and program development of departmental booster travel program, coordination of departmental travel reimbursement section, coordination of various team travel plans, management of departmental visiting team information- web portal, management of departmental credential distribution process for football and men’s basketball games. Must possess ability to adhere to and comply with Department, University, Pac-12 and NCAA rules and regulations.

All applicants should demonstrate the following abilities and requirements: Knowledge of UCLA, PAC-12, and NCAA rules, regulations, policies, and services; Detailed knowledge of and experience with rules, customs, practices of intercollegiate sports administration; Ability to deal effectively with university administrators, athletic administrators, coaches, and a wide variety of outside entities; Working knowledge of athletic facilities; Working knowledge of University accounting procedures; Ability to arrange and execute schedules in a timely and organized manner; Ability to work under heavy pressure and time constraints; Ability to draft clear and concise communications to a variety of parties; Knowledge of various computer software packages (both PC and Mac): MS Word, Excel, Access, Pagemaker, Publisher, and graphics programs; Skill in customer relations; Ability to analyze projects and their related components and issues and determine successive strategies related to those projects; Demonstrated ability to adhere to and comply with NCAA, PAC-12, and University rules and regulations.
