The Video Producer will play a key role on the live and post production sides of the Video Department. During the week the video producer will direct live multi-camera broadcasts, assemble video/graphic content to help with broadcast storylines, and produce a range of feature video content for Northeastern fans. By the end of the internship, the video producer will direct and produce games airing on linear TV, travel with at least one of our varsity teams, and work at major professional adjacent venues for special events.
Total Hours: 40+/week (July 2018 - June 2019)
Passion for sports and video production A drive to be part of a team and work with others to create a product A desire for pride of ownership of created content Direct and produce live sporting events (soccer, field hockey, volleyball, ice hockey, basketball, baseball, swimming, rowing) Knowledge of sports is required Working with Newtek Tricaster and 3Play, JVC Cameras, and Wirecast Lead a team of 4-12 students on game-days Produce post production content using Adobe Premiere (promo pieces, highlight videos, player profiles) A creative approach to problem solving Knowledge of storytelling Drivers License Required
About Northeastern University Athletics Department
The Northeastern Athletics Video Production office is responsible for both live and post production content. We broadcast all our home events for 11 of our varsity programs including men's/women's basketball and men's/women's hockey. It is our goal to give our student athletes, their families, and our fans the best and most comprehensive broadcast we In addition, we are responsible for producing video features across all areas such as promotional content, player profiles, sights and sounds recaps, and more. We work closely with all our teams as well as various offices within the Athletics Department.
