Under the direction of the Assistant Vice President/Deputy Athletics Director for External Affairs and working daily with the Director of Development and Development Coordinator, the Assistant Athletic Director for Ticket Operations will oversee ticket operations for all events, both athletically and culturally, held in Utah State University's athletics facilities. This position will manage the relationship with Paciolan ticketing systems and will collaborate daily with Utah State Athletics’ outbound ticket sales partner, IMG Learfield, to maximize revenues and provide outstanding customer service. This position will have a strong working knowledge and understanding of all NCAA rules and regulations regarding compliance issues.
Oversee ticket operations, including renewals, allocations, and seat improvements. Set up season manifests, events, and ticket inventory within ticket system. Includes management of online ticket system: account manager, payments, payment plans, print-at-home, e-ticket delivery, PID entry, and mobile ticketing. Primary liaison with ticket system vendor (Paciolan) to ensure all hardware and software are working efficiently for staff and customer use. Oversee student sales and customer service, set-up, communication, and event PID entry. Oversight of internal controls and procedures for the Ticket Office, including auditing procedures and reports, allocation and distribution of tickets, ensuring segregation of duties, safeguarding of funds, posting of batches, bank deposits, revolving cash fund, ticket system access, voiding tickets, and transfers. Prepare and order ticket stock and oversee printing. Manage ticket inventory, sales, allocations, and distribution of tickets. Oversee game day box office ticket operations for all sports and game settlement reports. Supervise all hosted NCAA postseason ticketed events for all sports. Manage away game and bowl game ticketing. Serve as the Ticket Office representative for away football games, bowl games, men’s basketball tournaments, and other NCAA events as needed. Collaborate with Marketing and Development to design ticket applications, season tickets, and other promotional materials. Collaborate with Information Technology staff to install and maintain ticket equipment, computers, and phones for all ticket office areas. Manage data imports and revenue reports for accounts payable.
A bachelor's degree.
3 years experience in managing a Ticket Office or related experience.
Experience with Ticketing Software, including building seasons, events, games, etc.
Strong interpersonal and communications skills, including excellent writing and editing skills.
Experience managing staff.
Ability to maintain sensitive and confidential information.
Highly developed organizational skills, including the ability to work under pressure to handle multiple tasks and meet competing deadlines.
Ability to foster positive interpersonal relationships and professional image with external and internal constituencies by adhering to customer service standards.
Commitment to following NCAA rules.
5 years of successful experience in college athletics ticket office.
Knowledge and experience integrating Paciolan data with a Central Development Data Management System.
Understanding of priority seating programs, including benefit fulfillment and athletic development industry standards.
