Position Description: Serves as head coach of the cross country team, responsible for the organization and administration of all facets of the program to ensure a quality program and successful Division 1 team. Serves as assistant coach for the women's track team, responsible for day to day coaching and training operations for the distance program. Recruits athletes and oversees their training. Monitors and supports academic success of student athletes. Builds and maintains a public awareness of the programs. Interacts professionally with all internal and external customers using strong interpersonal skills.
Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree. Three years' successful track and/or cross country coaching experience at the collegiate level. Knowledge of and commitment to NCAA rules. Commitment to student-athletes' success. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications: Division I coaching experience. Strong recruiting background. Progressive experience in practice and game day coaching, recruiting, scheduling, academic support and camps and clinics. Familiarity with Northeast Ohio region. Demonstrated commitment to diversity. Professional experience in a metropolitan college/university environment.
