Iowa Western Community College, a comprehensive community college located in Council Bluffs, IA successfully competes at the NJCAA Division I level and the ICCAC, invites applications for the position of full-time Men’s & Women’s Head Bowling Coach.
This is a new program slated to begin competition in fall 2018. This position will be responsible for providing quality leadership, direction and administrative oversight of the intercollegiate bowling program relative to successful athletic performance, recruitment and retention of student-athletes, and providing the necessary leadership for a positive competitive environment for student-athletes.
Preferred qualifications: Master’s degree from an accredited university, three or more years of experience coaching bowling at the collegiate level, knowledge of NCAA and/or NJCAA rules and a record of compliance in this area, fiscal management, effective communication skills with student-athletes, administrators, peers and the general public, ability to select, recruit and train bowling student athletes, ability to work compatibly and cooperatively with the staff and personnel in the Department of Athletics and other campus departments. Required Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university, three or more years of bowling coaching experience, a valid driver’s license, and a valid CPR certification or ability to obtain within 90 days of employment.
